Vicar

Revd Canon Bob Read

Canon Bob was Priest-in-Charge at St. James’ from 2007, and in October 2010 was made Vicar. He was previously  Vicar here in the 1980’s. Canon Bob says that he is delighted to be back in the parish. Ordained in the Durham Diocese, Canon Bob came back to his home Diocese in 1975. He has served in the parishes of Wilmslow, Offerton and Newton and was made an Honorary Canon of Chester Cathedral in 2003. He enjoys reading, crossword puzzles and going to the theatre.

Churchwardens

Brenda Dagnall

Brenda is married with two children and has attended St James since the family moved to Gatley in 1986.  She became Churchwarden in 2007, has been a member of the choir since about 1990 and is the former Editor of the Church magazine.
